Zeph's Blog
Hi there! Welcome to my blog! I'm not sure yet exactly what I'll put here. All I really know is that typically, I enjoy writing, so I'd like to have a space where I can do it.
I think I'll probably divide this page into different sections as I see fit. I hope you enjoy peeking into my brain!
Game Writings
I was fortunate, in a sense, to have a LOT of video games as a kid. I believe that part of this stems from the fact that my parents had their hands full with everyday life. My dad had a full time job that consumed at least 12 hours of his day. My mom was the stay at home housewife responsible for the cooking, cleaning, laundry, and other chores that we all take for granted as children. My two older sisters and I had a lot of activities both inside and outside of school, and so on the rare cases when we were home and there wasn't anything going on, my parents liked to have time to themselves. I learned at an early age that I LOVED video games. Something about the lights, sounds, colors, and the challenge of learning a game, figuring out its patterns, and devising the best way to conquer it, resonated with me even when I was in single digits. My parents didn't question this much, likely because a.) it kept me out of their hair, generally speaking, b.) I maintained a straight-A average in school, and c.) I was still plenty active, running around and riding my bike outside, playing baseball, and generally doing kid things. As a result, more often than not, if I saw a game that looked interesting and I wanted it, they obliged me. I'm grateful for that. I know a lot of other kids grew up with a lot less, and while I might have been missing some stuff in the emotional development areas, I was happy with my games.
This category of writings will be based around selected games from my collection. I may pick them randomly from time to time. I may write about specific games that resonate with me at the point of my writing. Hard to say what the reason will be... but here's where they'll be housed!
Post #1 - 4/26/26 - Snake's Revenge (NES)
Post #2 - 5/10/26 - Chrono Trigger (SNES)
Post #3 - 5/18/26 - Resident Evil 4 (Switch)
Random Writings
This category of writings will be stuff that isn't primarily game related. If I get enough of a specific kind then maybe I'll make a new section, but for now, they'll all just live here!
Zeph Art
I'm not very talented when it comes to making art-type stuff, but I do my best. I'll put whatever random stuff I make here!
